Weekly Fitness Report {13/02/17}

I have created this weekly fitness report to keep track of all of my workouts. I really believe in recording your workouts. I find it keeps me accountable and ensures that I exercise to have something to report most days of the week. I really don’t like seeing blank days on my exercise calendar! Hope you’ll follow along on my weekly adventures.

Monday, February  6th 2017

ROWED 3 km TIME: 37 minutes – Burnt 390 calories

Great rowing workout this morning. My muscles were protesting after two days of hardcore snowshoeing on the weekend before.


WALK 2.54 km TIME: 40 minutes BURNT: 133 calories

I walked my dogs in the woods while my son was at preschool. Usually I do a long hike but this day I was tired from my rowing in the morning.


Tuesday, February 7th 2017

RUN 5km TIME: 34 minutes PACE: 6:47 mins/km BURNT: 368 calories

Ran on my treadmill. I start off slowly and then gradually increasing the speed until I am flat out running for the last few minutes.


Wednesday, February 8th 2017

ZUMBA 35minutes BURNT: 182 calories

My son had no school because of freezing rain so we stayed inside. I had them come down in the basement with me and we did a Zumba video.  I hadn’t tried Zumba in a long time, it was hilarious. I am definitely not a dancer!

WALK 4 km TIME: 49 minutes BURNT: 191 calories

I took my dogs for a walk on a back country road in the evening. I like to listen to audiobooks when I walk at night.

ROWED 3 km TIME: 36 minutes BURNT: 375 calories

Nice hard rowing workout this morning.


Friday,  February 10th 2017

WALK 2.6 km TIME: 35 minutes BURNT: 129 calories

It was very cold and windy all day. I bundled up and took the dogs for a short walk in the woods but it wasn’t fun. There was a thick crust of ice covering the snow and we kept breaking through with each step. Hard work and frustrating. It freaked the dogs out.

The ice and snow sure make a beautiful photograph though.

Saturday, February 11th 2017

We were gone for most of the day and took the kids to a skating party in the afternoon but I didn’t exercise.


Sunday, February 12th  2016

SWIMMING: 1 hour 15 minutes BURNT: 521 calories

I took my sons to an indoor pool to go swimming. We went in the deep end and they played on a floating mat. I treaded water for the first 40 minutes straight. Now that is a workout!





ROWING: 6 km


WALKING:  9.54 km

Other workouts: Zumba & Swimming

TOTAL: 20.54 km
